PROCEDURES A. Warm-up: (5’) a) Objective: to introduce the new lesson and set the scene for students to acquire the new language knowledge and skills; get students' attention at the beginning of the class with enjoyable and short activities and engage them in the follow-up steps. b) Content: Ask students about the most memorable event in your life! c) Expected outcomes: Students have general ideas about the topic of the new lesson. d) Organisation of the activity: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities - Ask students to express their ideas through the guided questions: “Talk about the most memorable event in your life!” - Answer the questions using their own opinions. Suggested Answer Key: The most memorable event in my life was last summer when I travelled to Japan for the first time. I participated in a cultural exchange program and stayed with a host family. Visiting the temples in Kyoto and trying authentic Japanese food were unforgettable experiences.

Answer the questions. - Explain the situation and ask Ss to read the questions. - Then elicit Ss’ answers. Task 5. Write your story of someone you admire. (about 180–200 words). - Explain the task and give Ss time to write their story. - Remind Ss to use the story in Exercise 1 as a model, the plan and their answers in Exercise 4 to help them. - Alternatively, assign the task as HW and check Ss’ answers in the next lesson. - Listen to the teacher. - Work individually to complete the task. - Give answers when invited and take notes.
