Adam and Eve break God’s command, unleashing sin and death, yet God hints at a coming Serpent Crusher who will restore creation. 2 | The Flood & Nations (Genesis 4–11) Wickedness multiplies; God judges the world with a flood but saves Noah’s family. He sets the rainbow as His covenant sign of mercy. The Table of Nations lists the peoples; Shem’s line carries the promise. At Babel human pride builds a tower, so God confuses languages and scatters them making the nations. 3 | Abraham Covenant (Genesis 12–25) God calls Abram, promising land, blessing, and a great nation sealed by circumcision. Hagar bears Ishmael, whom God still blesses after she is kicked out. Sodom and Gomorrah are destroyed and only Lot’s family is rescued but his wife disobeyed God’s command was turned to a pillar salt., after Abraham’s plea. In old age Abraham and Sarah receive Isaac, and on Moriah God provides a ram, testing faith. 4 | The Twelve Tribes (Genesis 26–36) The covenant passes to Isaac, then Jacob. At Bethel Jacob dreams of a ladder linking heaven and earth and vows worship. In Haran he fathers twelve sons through Leah, Rachel, and their maidservants. making the 12 tribes of israel. Returning, he reconciles with Esau after he had fooled him and took the first born blessing and, after wrestling all night with God, and is renamed “Israel.” 5 | Joseph’s Rise (Genesis 37–47) Joseph’s (the second youngest son of Jacob ) brothers sell him as a slave in egypt, but God prospers him in Egypt and takes him out of jail becoming the second in power in egypt. In the 7 years of famine, Israel visit egypt to get food, and Joseph tested his brothers, Judah shows changed character by offering himself for Benjamin. Famine brings the family to Egypt; Joseph forgives them, seeing God’s saving plan. 6 | The Promise Continues (Genesis 48–50) Jacob blesses his sons, foretelling each tribe : Judah receiving royal hope (Jesus is from the tribe of Judah).
