1 PREFACE In view of the Salary Revision and changes in important policies related to Service Conditions of Officers, the necessary updation in our service conditions booklet has become quite imperative. In the said background, WE - AIBOBOA, a member focused organization, have once again come up with updated version of “Handbook on Service Conditions and other Benefits to Officers”. With the signing of 9 th Joint Note on 8th March, 2024, salary revision upto Scale VII has been successfully negotiated with 17 % increase on wage load. Our collective success in securing a commendable 17% hike, highest ever increase in Bankers’ wages, is a great achievement. It marks an unprecedented milestone in history of wage settlement in our Industry, which has been successfully concluded within a remarkable short time frame, that too without resorting to any industrial action. We have clinched some additional benefits also, viz. – Two Increments for CAIIB Part II, Additional Stagnation Increment in all scales, Four Half day Casual Leave in a year, Encashment of Privilege Leave upto 255 days at the time of retirement / upon death of an employee while in service, Reduction in Air Travel Eligibility from 1000 Kms to 500 Kms. All Women employees shall be allowed to take one day Sick Leave per month without production of medical certificate, and every officer on promotion shall be fitted in a higher stage in the new scale of pay. We, gratefully, acknowledge the favourable considerations by the Top Management under the leadership of MD & CEO Shri Deba Dutta Chand, ED Shri Lal Singh, Ex CGM (HRM) Shri Brajesh Kumar Singh, CGM (HRM) Shri Shailendra Singh and GM (HRM) Shri Prateek Agnihotri, of our genuine demands and issues concerning officers, raised from time to time. We are deeply indebted to Late Shri K K Nair, our former General Secretary, who had led us over four decades and made unparalleled contribution in improvement of Officers’ Service Conditions. Our special thanks to Mr Suhit Ghosh, Ms Sampoorna, Mr Anjani Kumar Mishra and Mr S K Singh for their sincere and hard work in preparing this hand book.
