Multiplexing & Multiplexer Multiplexing is the set of techniques that allows the (simultaneous) transmission of multiple signals across a single data link. A multiplexer (also called a mux) is a device that receives input signals from several device, combine them into a single stream of data and then transmits the data over a single communications line.
