Ministry of Home Affairs Sir. David Kausimae Building Panatina Highway Honiara Solomon Islands Appointment Statement Solomon People, I stand before you today with immense gratitude and humility as I assume the role of Minister of Home Affairs for the Solomon Islands. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the Prime Minister for bestowing upon me the honour of leading our nation's home affairs. As we embark on this journey together, my ministry is determined on creating Community Policing Initiatives: Develop and expand community policing programs to foster stronger relationships between law enforcement agencies and local communities. This will include community outreach, crime prevention workshops, and neighbourhood watch programs. Enhanced Border Security: Strengthen border control measures to prevent illegal immigration, human trafficking, and smuggling of contraband goods. This may involve investing in better technology, training for border patrol agents, and collaboration with neighbouring countries. Combating Corruption and Organized Crime: Implement measures to tackle corruption and organised crime within government institutions and the broader society. This can involve strengthening anti-corruption laws, enhancing law enforcement capabilities, and promoting transparency and accountability. Together, let us build a Solomon Islands that is prosperous, inclusive, and resilient. With determination and unity, I am confident that we can overcome any challenge and realise the vision of a brighter tomorrow for all Solomon People. Hon. Angela C.
