If any defect is detected inform the immediate superior to upload in the GIM app for rectification. 4.5.3 Do not handle the plug or unit with wet hands. 4.5.4 Assigned staff must be trained and competent (Chemical handling and operating machine). 4.5.5 PPE to be worn. 4.5.6 Staff must have knowledge about the control room number. 4.5.7 Staff must remember the nearest fire extinguisher location. 4.5.8 Staff must have knowledge of how to do eyewash and remember nearby water outlets. 4.5.9 Caution boards and barricades to be placed properly. 4.5.10 Keep the power cord away from the machine. 4.5.11 Keep hands, feet, and loose clothing away from all moving parts of the machine. 4.5.12 Do not use machinery if you feel tired or uneasy. 4.5.13 Always disconnect the power supply while fitting the disc and pad. 4.5.14 Don’t leave the machine unattended. 4.5.15 When a machine is not in use, leave the machine handle in the upright position. 5 Responsibilities 5.1 Operation Manager 5.1.1 Managing the operations process, planning, control, performance improvement, and operations strategy. 5.1.2 Ensure a competent team is available to perform the work. 5.2 Supervisor 5.2.1 Ensure all the housekeeping staff are in uniform and wearing appropriate PPE. 5.2.2 Supervise the work executed and ensure that work is performed by the approved SOP. 5.3 Cleaner 5.3.1 Place the caution board as required. 5.3.2 Must check tools and equipment before use and report if it is damaged. 5.3.3 Perform the work as per SOP. 5.3.4 Must be aware of spill procedure and emergency evacuation. 5.3.5 Report any incident to Supervisor/HMC personnel 6 Work Procedure 6.1 Preparation 6.1.1 Preparation of Cleaning Equipment, Tools, Materials, and cleaning agents. 6.1.2 Chemicals and spray bottles to be labelled accordingly with an expiry date and time. 6.1.3 Ensure that the service trolley is fully equipped with the required materials & tools. 6.1.4 Wear appropriate PPE as per donning guidelines. 6.1.5 Park the service trolley and waste trolley outside the room to be cleaned and ensure the trolley does not restrict access to the room. 6.1.6 Place the caution board signage inside (for patient view) and outside (for outsiders/staff) the room. 6.1.7 Before entering inside the room knock the door and seek permission to enter and conduct room cleaning 6.1.8 Scan CTI to initiate the task.
