Then, he had to run and find a way to get back what he lost somehow. AU where Jaemin makes a deal with the most dangerous man in city, but ends up finding a wealth nobody can have in deep golden-brown eyes.

the shadow of the storm, away from evil eyes. Other side of Bagel was quite alive and vivid, courtesans and customers luring around. Ahead of him, dark and heavy clouds collected. Lightnings and thunders rolling across the sky, flashing white. Autumns had been quite violent in Laderna for the past few years. His destination appeared a few blocks away, small yet no less crowded between two huge brothels. Jaemin directly walked in as the rain began spurting again. Customers inside halted and looked at newcomer, his sudden pheromones, laced with exertion, anger and filth, making them disgusted. When they all turned away, he strode towards the bar where the alpha was eyeing him harshly. They did not meet up often, yet Jaemin knew this short bundle of perpetual anger ever since he saw Renjun murdering a man in broad daylight. It was not a pleasant sight for a sixteen year old who freshly presented, but that was how the world functioned. God wouldn't have created men to be vicious if it didn't want them to act vicious. Put something in genes and watch them act up. "You are reeking," Renjun commented as Jaemin flopped down on a chair like a dead body. The girl next to him grimaced and walked away, which pushed on his nerves to cry like a baby. Everything had to go wrong. "Couldn't you have ridden a carriage?" "You are not so bright, Injunie. I have got no money to waste." "Why did you escape then? You could have strangled your father to death in his slumber." Renjun looked very decent while saying that, and smart, which he was not at all. Jaemin rolled his eyes. "My father is just stupid, he doesn't need to die. Also, I need some other way to reclaim what's mine." Renjun shot him a pitiful look. "Excuse my tone, but you can't do shit if your father has decided to disown and replace you. Law is law." Jaemin tried to smirk. It was impossible considering how angered he was currently, weathered and battered from the situation he was forced through. "I know all of this. It's why I've come here to meet the Night Caller of Jackals." Renjun dropped the cup on his hand and the sound echoed in close proximity, customers around giving them observant eyes. Alpha's reaction was understandable since it was Night Caller they were talking about, the Beast of Laderna. Current Leader of Jackals, the most prominent gang in Laderna, ruling two whole districts. From heinous acts of blackmail, violence, and murder without emotion, the man and his comrades were known to terrorize the city. They also managed countless gambling houses and brothels as if all the crimes they committed weren't enough. The man resided in a great mansion on the other side of the district, a little far away from the Quarters of his gang, having chosen to live alone. Jaemin did his research very well before coming there. It was not so hidden anyways, since whole district was just a hellhole of crime and murder. Renjun snorted after blinking out of his shock, looking ready to throw him out. "Why do you wish death, Nana? Night Caller would have butchered you before you even got to step in his garden." "I will make profitable offers. I doubt a man like him would turn down such an opportunity." "What kind of an opportunity? A broke omega whose father has probably already disowned him. You have no right to his legacy and money, Jaemin." Jaemin scowled, leaning forward to hiss with annoyance. "Couldn't you see that's what I'm trying to fix? I want my home and wealth back. But I can't have it as long as there are obstacles on my way."
Renjun scanned him closely. They were whispering to hide from evil eyes, always eager to learn new information and evoke rumors. Alpha's bright eyes flickered on his face intently, trying to make a decision. "Night Caller would not waste his time with the wealth of a farmer. The man is the richest person in Laderna." "People get rich because they never get tired of more coins," Jaemin raised a brow cockily, despite the fact that he was feeling far too pathetic inside. "Lee Jeno will not deny a chance to increase his fortune." Renjun rolled his eyes. "You have found out his real identity too. Be careful around here calling out his name though. He's got many enemies at his throat." Jaemin beamed happily. Knowing somebody was behind him made him feel better. "Are you beginning to approve my plans?" "It will be a joy to see your obliterated corpse floating in the river." Jaemin laughed at that, all the anger somehow meandering into the stage of accepting grief. His life hadn't been amazing, but neither horrible. His father owned a great farmhouse and many fields where townsfolk worked and harvested. He was the only child without an omega parent, yet his father paid all caretakers to raise him. He got his education on countless subjects. Often, he ran away from home and tried exploring the world outside, which led to his meeting with Renjun, Yukhei and Jungwoo. The last two were a part of Ravens, another prominent gang in Laderna that's led by Phantom Menace. It was not rare gang members came to outskirts for pillage and murder purposes. Somehow, he had always been attracted to illegal and dangerous stuff, which concluded in him beating some people here and there. Now the sun set for him, storms brewing in his sky, cloudy streaks falling on his heart like flames. A single flip of board and everything tumbled down. The new order that replaced the other was not his favorite. From the moment he saw that woman, he knew she was after money and power. But alphas were quite foolish for giving in to wet cunts of omegas. Do a spell with your enchanting lips and they would believe every word leaving your mouth. Jaemin watched the change within his father, who was already an indifferent and reckless parent, the way he became worse. Perhaps the man was sick of dealing with him, because Jaemin did cause a lot of trouble. Punching the alphas who hit on him, beating the betas who bet about him, scratching the face of omegas who talked behind him. Well, he might be quite a handful person but it's what coloured his soul. "Give me rum, then I'll directly go to his mansion," he told Renjun. Alpha again stared at him, as if Jaemin just signed his death warrant. Maybe he did. Facing the most dangerous man in the entire city would be similar to dying, but as long as it was not worse than his current situation, he could deal with it. "Your corpse, on the river, tomorrow," he stated and pushed an entire bottle of rum in front of him. Quite generous of him, thinking Jaemin would be dead by morning. He drank all of it since it took more than two bottles to get him even tipsy. Listening and watching the mess of the tavern, kissing pairs, entertaining comrades, mirth tangibly hanging in the air. For a moment he wondered how nice it would have been to live like this: get up, fuck, play and die one day. Easy lives. But Jaemin wanted more. Omegas were known to engage in gangs as much as alphas, and nobody really underestimated their capabilities. He liked the thrill, also the luxury he used to have. And he wanted it back. It was pouring when he put on the thick cloak Renjun handed over, making sure the hood covered his head fully, and walked out of the tavern. Rain, mud and slate concrete surrounded the dome of town, pelting down onto earth as if punishing filthy souls for their sins. The day started fairly
