Evolution of the IBA Verbal Section Over the years, the verbal section has evolved from a mechanical technique-based paper to a more comprehensive reading-based paper. Questions now, unlike before, are designed in a way that challenges the applicants to read strenuously and have a skillset grounded on solid reading background to do so. Finding meanings in context, assertive inferences, exhaustive and far- reaching texts, and complex sentence structures are what now ornate the face of IBA’s verbal section. Furthermore, it’s of utmost importance for every student to build a well-rooted foundation in reading the aforementioned texts and passages in order to sustain the density of the test. IBA Poem Comprehension More Recently, we have seen the introduction of both classical and contemporary poetry at IBA’s test. Poetry, along with related comprehension questions it carries, has opened broad new possibility of the inclusion of literature in the test. This book contains most of the nuances and techniques one needs to keep in mind while attempting the poem-related questions at IBA’s test. To add to it, it offers a diverse and extensive variety of practice of such poems with questions and aims to help the students in all the possible ways before they take the test. Consistent and learned exposure to such texts will help you clear the Cut off and give you a considerable edge at the test.
