Nội dung text Day 21 - Shear and Moment Diagram.pdf
Anyone can build a structure that stands, but it takes an engineer to build one that barely stands. Beam internal forces at specific points can be determined by method of sections and using equilibrium equations considering applied external loads and support reactions. However, the design of beams requires knowing the variation of the internal shear force and bending moment across the full length of the beam. This variation is illustrated using what we call shear diagrams (SD) and bending moment diagrams (BMD).
