RELATIONS AND FUNCTIONS
RELATIONS & FUNCTIONS ORDERED PAIRS An ordered pair consists of two elements written in a given fixed order. It should not be confused with a set containing two elements. Example :- Position of a point in a two dimensional plane is represented by an ordered pair (x, y). Note :- In the ordered pair (x, y), we call x as first member (or first component) and y as second member (or second component). By interchanging the positions of the components, the ordered pair is changed. Thus, (x, y) ≠ (y, x) .
