Vellvette Lifestyle Pvt. Ltd. FY24 Page 3 of 8 LEAVES DURING PROBATION Probation period is the settling in time for a new employee where she/he is working towards turning optimally productive in the role. During this period, it is not advisable for the new joiner to take any unplanned leaves. We however understand that you may need some leaves during this period owing to unforeseen situations. To enable you to address such personal or any other exigencies we have created a pool of unpaid days under ‘Leave Without Pay - Pool’. LEAVE WITHOUT PAY - POOL We are setting aside a pool of up to 30 days of unpaid leaves in each fiscal year that employees may avail to meet exigencies after having used up their entitled leaves at any given point of time in the year. This ‘pool’ comes into effect from March 31, 2023 for existing employees. For new employees, the ‘pool’ will be created from the day of joining and will be prorated to reflect 2.5 days per completed month. Partial month ‘pool’ allotment will be as per the given cadence: • Joining between the 1 st to 15th of a month – 2 days • Joining between the 16th to the last day of the month – 1 day The employee may dip into this allocated ‘pool’ by informing the reporting manager via email and on the HRMS Portal about the planned leaves prior to the date(s) on which the leave(s) is/are desired to be availed. An employee can use the ‘pool’ leaves only when they have used up all the entitled leaves or when their leave is not approved for not applying as per the communicated process. This ‘pool’ is capped at an annual allotment of 30 days and cannot be carried forward. MATERNITY LEAVE We offer complete support to our women team members who choose to step into the beautiful world of motherhood. Women employees are entitled to 26 weeks of Maternity Leave, with full pay and benefits, of which up to eight weeks can be taken prior to delivery, depending upon individual need. Not more than 8 weeks of the same should be before the expected date of her delivery. This leave is available twice in the tenure. Any extension to the Maternity Leave shall need to be approved by the Reporting Manager, HOD and Chief People Officer (“CPO”). Such an extension to the Maternity Leave will be unpaid leave. Maternity Leave shall constitute all days falling in that period, including holidays and weekly offs. The Leave credit for the other leaves other than Maternity Leave shall pause
