This essay aims to shed light on the various causes of excessive nighttime lighting and suggest measures for businesses and the government to address this urgent issue. There are some certain causes leading to light pollution. One primary cause of light pollution is the excessive use of outdoor lighting. To be specific, it includes lights from constant vehicles traveling, advertising boards and street lamps which often employ powerful and poor shielded energy to generate lights. Over illumination obviously results in light spilling into unintended areas. Another contributing cause of light pollution is the increasing use of LED lights stemming from societal habits, such as 24-hour business operations and late-night recreational activities that demand constant lighting. Excessive LED lights emit blue light, creating a hazy glow over urban areas and intensifying the issue. Therefore, it is clear that the root cause of light pollution is the civilized lifestyle, industrial development and strong urbanization. Businesses and governments have a crucial role in addressing light pollution. Firstly, businesses can turn off signboards at certain times at night when there are fewer people on the street and adopt shielded lighting systems to minimize unnecessary illumination. Secondly, governments can implement policies to regulate outdoor lighting and require lights to be properly shielded and limited in brightness. Furthermore, they should raise public awareness about the importance of reducing light pollution. Governments, scientists and non-profits can also collaborate to study the impact of light pollution and develop innovative solutions. In conclusion, light pollution is a multifaceted issue stemming from the development of society. Businesses and governments should take the responsibility for mitigating its harmful effects.

However, this has sparked a heated debate about whether glass buildings will offer numerous benefits or pose some potential challenges to society in general and to individuals in particular. This essay will delve into demonstrating this issue. On the positive side, glass skyscrapers with high aesthetic value are designed to maximize natural light and make the workplace more airy, which will not only contribute to improving work productivity but also help employees to reduce pressure, boost their mood during working hours. Moreover, as glass office buildings are seen as symbols of progress, they can attract both domestic and international investment, thereby making a significant contribution to the national economy. Another point worth mentioning is that glass walls are eco-friendly options for office design. To be more specific, they rely less on artificial lighting, helping to minimize the consumption of energy. On the flip side, it is undeniable that there exist several drawbacks of glass office buildings. Firstly, while glass walls increase openness, they may lack privacy, which will make employees feel uncomfortable and reduce focus. Concerning the second point, they also adversely affect people’s daily life and health. To illustrate, glare from the glass can cause people to suffer from eye strain or headaches, and bright light from the buildings can cause light pollution, disturbing sleep and increasing stress for nearby residents. Taking everything into consideration, it can be seen that while modern glass office buildings offer aesthetic value and certain benefits, they also raise some concerns. This has shown the importance of making an effort to balance these factors to create sustainable buildings.

The following essay will delve into the main reasons for digital divide and its several effects. The digital divide results from the following factors. A primary reason is economic disparity. People with low incomes cannot afford advanced devices such as smartphones or computers, which are essential to keep up with the fast-paced world. Another factor is that lack of education and digital literacy hinders individuals, especially older adults and those living in remote areas, from having access to technology. The last cause is scarcity of modern infrastructure. Rural and underdeveloped areas often lack adequate infrastructure, which restricts access to the internet. The consequences of the digital divide are manifold. Firstly, it can result in loss of social opportunities. Nowadays, the majority of people heavily rely on social media like Facebook, Instagram or TikTok in order to keep contact with other people and update the latest news. Without access to digital technology, people may miss out on those opportunities, leading to the feeling of isolation. Secondly, the digital divide exacerbates educational inequality. Modern students regularly use internet-connected devices to complete their assignments, research projects and attend online classes. However, some students lack necessary digital devices to access these vital learning resources. As a result, they struggle with their study at school and fall farther behind their digitally enabled peers. Lastly, the absence of digital technology can prevent individuals from pursuing valuable job opportunities. In conclusion, the digital divide arises from economic disparity, insufficient education and digital literacy, and inadequate infrastructure. It contributes to social isolation, educational inequalities, and missed job prospects.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of this phenomenon? In today's digital age, cashless payment methods have grown in popularity worldwide. Due to technological advancements, more and more people are opting for cashless transactions, from cards to QR codes. While this shift brings numerous benefits, it also poses some potential challenges to society in general and to individuals in particular. This essay will delve into demonstrating this issue. On the positive side, one of the main advantages of cashless payment is that it offers convenience, allowing people to make payments without the need for carrying cash. This is beneficial in an increasingly digital world where online shopping and e-commerce are thriving. Furthermore, cashless payments offer a safer way to transact, which would help to minimize the risk of theft or loss that comes with handling cash. Electronic payments also allow people to keep track of their spending, simplifying the way individuals manage their finances and making it easier for governments to monitor illegal activities such as money laundering. On the flip side, it is undeniable that there exist several drawbacks of making non-cash payments. One major issue is the potential loss of personal information. Although the security of cashless payment services is relatively high, the leakage of users’ information still continues to occur, which is becoming increasingly alarming. Another point worth concerning is that not everyone has access to smartphones, bank accounts and the internet, particularly in rural areas or among older populations who cannot keep up with the perpetual changes of technology. Therefore, they may struggle to adapt to new payment methods. Taking everything into consideration, it can be seen that while making cashless payments brings convenience and efficiency, it also raises some concerns about security and accessibility. From my point of view, it is important to find timely solutions to address the potential risks.
