(38 words) PART 4 : Dear member, The cost of maintaining old buildings is very high and these buildings take up a lot of space. The government has a proposal that we knock down old buildings and build more modern blocks.
1, write to a friend (50 words). Hi Ti, How are you these days? Have you heard about the government notice? The government’s thinking about tearing down old buildings, which are pricey to keep up and take up too much space, and putting up new, modern blocks instead. To be honest, I was delighted when I heard this news. I’m kind of feeling like sending the club my thoughts. What’s your thoughts? Love, Hoa. (67 words) 2, write to the club (120 – 150 words). Dear Sir/Madam, My name is Hoang Hoa and I have been a club member for 3 years. I am using this email as a medium to convey my emotions and thoughts about the recent notice that I received from the club. In addition to that, I want to genuinely thank every member of the club for their commitment and the considerable sacrifices they have made for our collection benefit. With regard to the announcement, the government proposes demolishing old buildings, which are expensive to maintain and occupy a lot of space, in order to construct more modern blocks. I was elated when I received this news, as it is a brilliant idea. In my opinion, too much money is wasted on repairing old buildings that should be used to knock them down and build new ones. Poor in condition and low in quality, some buildings pose a danger to people inside as well as pedestrians. Whether they have been reinforced or not, these buildings can blemish the landscape and hardly justify continued maintenance. Replacing such buildings with new ones meets the renewed needs of the city. I hope that you will find my suggestions helpful. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Best regards, Hoang Hoa (208 words)
