ASHIANA HOUSING LIMITED METHOD STATEMENT FOR INTERNAL PAINTING WORK INTRODUCTION This method statement describes the activities to carry out Internal Painting works as per specifications. OBJECT Following documents shall be considered as reference for execution of the job: • Approved shade of paint mentioned in specifications. MATERIAL Paint, Putty, Primer, Thinner, masking tape, water APPARATUS/EQUIPMENT: Roller brush, Roller Tray, Flat Brush, Fiber Blade, Sand Paper, Buckets, Masks, Ladder, polythene sheets, Stool HEALTH AND SAFETY PROVISION:  Workers shall be provided with complete PPE.  All workers shall be provided with proper tools & equipment to execute the work safely. PREPARATORY WORK:  All cement related works must be completed before start of painting work.  Following things shall be checked at the time of receiving the paints: Brand name, Type of paint, Color code/shade & Expiry date  Before commencement of work, protect finished floor, electrical switches, round sheets and cover plates, aluminum frames, window glass, door fittings and all the other obstructions and remove the protective covering properly after completion of work.  Proper wooden/bamboo working platform and lighting arrangement shall be provided.  All paints shall be thoroughly stirred to a uniform consistency:  Thinning and mix ratio shall be in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendation.
