Students will practice counting in groups, regrouping two-digit numbers, comparing quantities, and building numbers using cards. They will also explore number relationships and Works with two-digit numbers Reads and writes numerals for numbers up to 99. Uses place value in writing and comparing two-digit numbers. Forms the greatest and smallest two- digit numbers (with and without repetition of given digits). Count objects in groups. Understand place value (tens and ones) in two-digit numbers. 1. Day at the Beach 1 (Counting in Groups): Shows a picture with various beach items (coconuts, boats, children, oranges). Students count the objects and discuss counting by ones or groups. 2. Tasty Chikoos! (Place Value & Regrouping): Presents a scenario where Manoj counts chikoos in trays. Solve problems involving total chikoos and regrouping chikoos into trays. 3. Fun with Blocks and Strips (Place Value Understanding): Uses manipulatives (sticks, blocks) to demonstrate making a 100-unit grid with groups of 10. 4. Counting through Cards (Place Value & Number Recognition): Introduces cards representing tens and ones for counting shells. Knowledge and Understanding: Students will understand the concept of place value (tens and ones) in two- digit numbers. Learn to compare two- digit numbers. Ability to Compute: Students will practice regrouping two-digit numbers (tens and ones). Problem Solving Ability: Students will apply problem-solving skills in various activities: Determining the number of trays needed for Observation: Observe student participation and understanding during activities and discussions. Counting & Place Value: Counting in Groups: Count objects efficiently by grouping them? Place Value & Regrouping: Solve problems involving total quantities and regrouping tens and ones. Place Value Understanding: Do they understand the concept of
