ABOUT US The Gaudium cheerfully stands on a lush green, sustainable campus replete with vast open spaces. We believe that young minds flourish better in an environment that is green and eco- friendly. Our goal is to reduce our carbon footprint and create a space in line with the concept of moving towards net zero by 2040. The campus, supported by solar energy, houses an effluent treatment plant, water recharging bodies, rainwater harvesting units, organic waste recycling and usage of energy efficient equipment. THE NAME The Gaudium means ‘Joy’ in Latin. Our school philosophy guides the culture and ethos of the school and emphasizes on the happiness of every child going through the learning experience. The Gaudium offers national and international curricula and has a clearly defined pathway for our students. The Gaudium is an IB Continuum School offering IB PYP, IB MYP and IBDP along with offering Cambridge (International Curricula) and CBSE (National Curricula) providing our students an opportunity to opt for the curriculum of their choice. The various curricula offered at The Gaudium are as follows: ● IB PYP (Primary Years Program): Nursery to Grade 5 ● IB MYP (Middle Years Program): Grade 6 to Grade 10 ● IB DP (Diploma Program): Grade 11 & 12 ● Cambridge International - Lower Secondary Grades 6 to 8 PHILOSOPHY The philosophy of The Gaudium, is guided by the concept of ‘value creating education’, which was developed to reform education and to make the world a better place. ‘The starting point and essence of Value Creating Education is the spirit to treasure each student’s individuality so that they can become happy and enjoy a glorious future. Mentioned below are some of the essential points that will be the operational guidelines of the school and will help you partner and stay connected with us. 1. SCHOOL OPENING DATES The new academic year for Grade 7 to 12 CBSE and 7 to 10 Cambridge International starts in the month of March every year after the completion of the final Term examinations. The academic year for all other grades and curriculums will begin in the month of June 2024. School reopening dates for June will be shared soon. SCHOOLTIMINGS ● Regular Working Days o Across the school will be Monday to Friday (5 days a week) o Grade 9 - 12 will be working on 2 Saturdays as scheduled in the school calendar ● School Timings o 8:30 AM – 3.15 PM (Nursery to Grade 12) o School gates will close by 8:45 am sharp ● Administrative Office Timings: o 8:30- 4:30 PM o No parent is allowed in the school premises without prior appointment o Fee Payment at the campus will be allowed during weekdays between 3.45 to 4.30 pm only
