SAP CONFIGURATION: The Almond Case | 2 Almond Muesli: the context In this exercise, you will help the ERP Muesli Company extend its SAP system in order to account for the creation of a new product. Currently, ERP Muesli Company has 16 products in the market (current master data model is shown in the figure on the next page). They are expanding their product range by introducing a new product in the market. The details of the new product as well as other parameters of the system that need to be changed are outlined in the table below. • The new product to be introduced in the market is 1 kg Almond Muesli. The proposed product code for the 1 kg Almond Muesli is ###-F17- see the note below. In order to do so, you are invited to change the parameters in the system so that the system can effectively support the planning, procurement, production, and sales of the new product. • Production of the 1kg Almond Muesli requires the existing packaging goods (the large plastic bag and the large boxes), two of the existing raw materials (oat and wheat). Finally, it requires one new additional raw material: Almond. The following table represents the bill of material (BOM) for the Almond Muesli. • The 1kg Almond Muesli is sold only in the distribution channels 10 and 12, the Hypermarket and Grocery stores respectively. The initial sales price for each of these distribution channels is 4.89 euros and 5.12 euros respectively. • The almonds (in form of almond flakes) are sold by the same supplier as the other edible products, which is Food Broker Inc. (V01). Food Broker sends almond flakes at a price of 2.03 euros per kilo. Food Broker is the company’s only supplier of almonds. • The other business processes and business rules remain unchanged. Note: ### represents the company code assigned for the exercise. The proposed product code for the 1kg Almond Muesli is ###-F17 and ###-R07 for the Almond. For configuration exercises, company codes are represented by numbers instead of alphabetical letters as they are in simulation games. Your company code can range anywhere between the number 001 and the number 200. Use the company code and product codes assigned to you by your instructor for the exercise.
