REVIEW 1 I. Read the passage and decide whether the statements are TRUE or FALSE. My name is Tom, and I am twenty years old. Last winter, I travelled to Peru to volunteer in a small village. I worked at a school that had about 50 students. I was assigned to teach English to a group of twenty students. Teaching the students was challenging at first. It was difficult to communicate with them since they didn't speak English. However, I found creative ways to communicate with them, such as drawing pictures or acting out words. Eventually, I began to see progress in their learning, and it was very rewarding. The students were eager to learn and were grateful for the opportunity to receive an education. I became particularly close to a boy named Juan, who was 10 years old. He struggled with learning English at first but worked hard to improve. By the end of my stay, he was able to hold a basic conversation in English. During my time in Peru, I also helped with community projects, such as building a new playground for the school. It was amazing to see the impact that my work had on the community. I made many new friends during my stay, and it was difficult to leave when it was time to go home. This experience changed my life, and I feel grateful for the opportunity to have made a difference in the lives of others. Statement True/False Tom is thirty years old. Tom volunteered in a small village in Peru. Tom taught English to a group of fifty students. Juan was a student who struggled with learning English at first but worked hard to improve. To maintain good health, it is important to adopt healthy eating habits and engage in regular physical activities. Exercise can help control body weight and reduce the risk of certain diseases. Water is the best option, but sports drinks with low sugar content can also be used to replace lost fluids. ● Limit or eliminate regular soft drink consumption. ● Avoid consuming junk food and fast food as they are usually high in cholesterol, salt, sugar, and fat. ● Get 8 to 10 hours of sleep every night. 1.
