Assessment details: Assessment Tasks Description Group Presentation Students work in groups and prepare a presentation about a given topic. Assignment 1 Students look for 2 articles in their own subject area and write a summary and a synthesis of the two articles. Assignment 2 Students choose a topic in their own subject area and develop a detailed outline for their end-of-term project End of Term Project (2,500 – 3000 words) Students look for and use their own resources in their own subject area. Students negotiate their own title and specific aim through dialogue with their instructors. Scaffolding is withdrawn, and it is at this stage that students work independently. Class time is mainly concentrated on individual tutorials. Students are encouraged to take responsibility for what happens in the tutorials.
