(2) Friend 1: That sounds like a good idea! How do you do it? Friend 2: Well, I list all my expenses for the month, like groceries, bills, and entertainment. It's all about finding what works best for you and sticking to it. We've got this! B-SPEAKING: Speaking Topic 1: Talk about a time you used time-management skills for your study: You should say: - Why did you decide to you use time-management skills? - When did you use time-management skills? - What was the outcome of using time-management skills? Sample:
- Give examples to prove your points. Sample: Being Independent: Pros and Cons While being independent allows more freedom and responsibility, it also has challenges. One advantage is that you can make your own decisions without consulting others. However, a disadvantage is the increased financial responsibilities. As an independent person, you can choose how to spend your free time without having to check with parents or explain yourself. For example, if I want to go out with friends after class, I do not need to ask for permission. This allows me to manage my schedule as I wish. However, paying rent, bills and buying food alone can place a large burden. As a student, balancing work, study and finances to afford living alone is difficult. I have experienced stress over money concerns like being short for rent or transportation costs. Another benefit of independence is learning valuable life skills at your own pace. Staying on my own has helped me learn how to cook, clean and take care of daily tasks, which will help me in the future. Nevertheless, being independent also means dealing with problems alone without family support. For instance, when my laptop broke last month, I had to pay for repairs by myself which was expensive. In conclusion, independence provides flexibility but brings additional responsibilities that require careful planning and money management. THE END.
