MEANING OF SOCIALIST LEGAL SYSTEM: The socialist legal system is a legal framework where the state plays a central role in ownership and control of resources and economic activities. It emphasizes state ownership, central planning, and public law to achieve social and economic equality. 3. DEFINITION OF SOCIALIST LEGAL SYSTEM: According to the "Encyclopedia of Law and Economics: “The socialist legal system is a legal framework where the state controls and regulates all aspects of economic and social life. It is characterized by state ownership of resources, central economic planning, and a strong emphasis on laws and policies that promote social equality and collective welfare.” 4. SOURCES OF SOCIALIST LEGAL SYSTEM: Following are the most important sources of the socialist legal system. • Constitution: Basic Law: The constitution is the highest legal authority in a socialist legal system. It outlines the fundamental principles of socialism, the structure of government, and the rights and duties of citizens. • Statutory Laws: Legislation: These are laws enacted by the legislative body of the state, such as the parliament.
