Many people think that the latter should be adopted worldwide. I wholeheartedly agree with this sentiment and argue that universal access to healthcare should be seen as a fundamental human right. One of the major challenges with government-provided healthcare is the significant cost involved. Efficient healthcare services require substantial funding, which necessitates the collection of additional taxes from the population. This often leads to objections from individuals who feel they are paying for a service they might not use. They argue that private healthcare, funded by those who use it, is a more effective and efficient system. However, proponents of a state-funded healthcare system argue that access to medical treatment should be universal and not dependent on an individual's financial situation. They assert that private healthcare, driven by profit, inherently leads to inequality. If people are required to pay for their treatment, it excludes those who cannot afford it, thereby benefitting only the wealthy. This creates a healthcare system where the poor suffer due to a lack of access to necessary medical care.
