Nuclear Family: This type of family has parents and their children living together. It’s a small family. 2. Joint Family: This family has more people living together, such as grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, along with parents and children. It’s a big family. Example: Bela's family is relatively large, including her parents, grandparents, two brothers, and a pet dog. Importance of family member- 1. Family members love, care for, and support each other. In a family, people show affection and help each other in various ways. Example: Bela's Dadiji oils and braids her hair, her parents help each other with housework, and the children help with chores. 2. We play games and celebrate festivals with family and friends. Families spend quality time together through games and celebrations. Example: Bela's family plays chhupan-chhupai (hide and seek), antakshari, and snakes and ladders. They also celebrate festivals together. 3. Everyone in the family helps with household work. All family members contribute to running the household by doing various tasks. Example: Banku helps with cleaning and chopping vegetables, while Bela helps her Dadaji in the garden. 4. We learn many things from our family members- Family members, especially elders, teach us various skills and share knowledge. Example: Bela learns songs from her Dadiji, and Dadaji teaches the children games he used to play when he was young. 5. We should be kind to animals. Animals, especially pets, are often considered part of the family and should be treated with care and respect.

Ans: I play many fun games with my family members: ▪ With my grandpa, we play chess. Ans: Several animals visit our home and neighbourhood: ▪ Birds like sparrows and pigeons come to our balcony. ▪ Squirrels run around in our garden and on trees. ▪ Sometimes, a friendly street dog comes near our gate. ▪ Cats from the neighbourhood often walk on our compound wall. ▪ At night, we can hear owls hooting nearby. ▪ In the rainy season, we see frogs in our garden. ▪ Butterflies and bees visit the flowers in our plants. 7. Have you ever shared food with the animals who come to your home? Share your experience. Ans: Yes, I have shared food with animals that come to our home. Here's my experience: ▪ We have a bird feeder on our balcony. Every morning, I help my mother put seeds and small pieces of bread in it. Sparrows and pigeons come to eat from it. It's fun to watch them! ▪ There's a street dog that sometimes comes near our gate. Once, with my parents' permission, I gave it some leftover chapati. The dog wagged its tail, which made me happy. ▪ We keep a small water bowl in our garden for birds and squirrels. In summer, I make sure it's always filled with fresh water. ▪ During winter, I saw a cat shivering outside. My mom allowed me to give it some milk in a small bowl. The cat lapped it up quickly! ▪ Once, I saw ants in our kitchen. Instead of shooing them away, my grandmother showed me how to put a small piece of jaggery in a corner for them.
