MANSAENGJONG 만생종 * CHAPTER 29 “Cahaya!!!” Seowoon tossed aside the branches he was using as camouflage and hastily stood up. Maybe because he shouted so loudly, Cahaya lowered his sword. At that moment, everyone’s eyes turned towards Seowoon. Since Cahaya had pulled a crazy stunt, it wasn’t wise for Seowoon to keep hiding. However, jumping down like Cahaya did would mean getting metal rods in his legs, so he went down the tunnel as if going down a slide. His cheeks stung feeling the piercing gazes of the DK people, all wondering why he came down like that. “Tacheon Vice Guild Leader-nim, how do you explain this? Is this under your orders?”
The DK guild members, who had been waiting impatiently for Seowoon to come down, started to close the distance. ‘I should’ve borrowed a mask from Cahaya.’ He swept down his face, which had been subjected to the sharp looks of the agitated opponents. Meanwhile, Cahaya used his scabbard to brush off the grass and soil from Seowoon’s butt. “Hello, Mr. Cha Seowoon. I’m Kim Hansol, the leader of DK’s first line team.” The woman, who appeared to be the most composed in the current situation, was the healer who had treated the injured driver earlier. Seowoon simply nodded in response, declining the offered handshake. “Now that the Fallen Angel’s vice guild leader himself is here, could you please explain to me how this happened?” She kept an eye on the tunnel as she spoke. “Vice Guild Leader?” “This incident is an aberration caused by my guild member, Cahaya.”
The DK guild members visibly relaxed. While Cahaya could easily kill them all and reclaim the tunnel, it would only turn all Mansaengjongs in Naraka against them. That was a close call. Despite being a highest-level Mansaengjong, facing a united front of upper-levels would be a tough battle. That was why Seowoon decided to step back a bit more. ‘If only Cahaya hadn’t charged out recklessly like that.......’ Seowoon scowled and shot a glare at Cahaya. Nonetheless, Cahaya leaned in, still wearing his mask, and whispered something into Seowoon’s ear. “Can you just leave now, then?” A freckle-faced young man boldly stepped forward, but Kim Hansol reached out and halted him. In the midst of exchanging whispers with Cahaya, Seowoon blinked once. Kim Hansol sensed an ominous shift. Seowoon’s troubled gaze transformed into the mischievous eyes of a child plotting some wicked pranks. “Team Leader Kim Hansol, you’re aware that, as a vice guild leader, I hold full authority in the absence of Tacheon’s guild leader, right?”
“......So?” “Could you relay this to DK’s guild leader? Let’s swap ownership of the Southeast and Northwest.” “Oh my gosh! Now you’re talking nonsense! How can you behave like this when you’re in someone else’s turf?” Kim Hansol lost her composure and got angry. “Even if you don’t accept it, Tacheon will give up all rights to the Southeast from that moment on.” The DK guild members erupted, questioning, “What kind of trick is this?” Cahaya shielded Seowoon with his tall frame, his head continuously blocking Kim Hansol who was attempting to approach and talk directly to Seowoon. Hansol’s face turned bright red at his mischievous antics. “Cahaya-ssi? What’s the meaning of all this? What did your vice guild leader just imply?” “What else? In case your guild leader over there doesn’t get it, my vice guild leader has ordered us to gobble up the Northwest by force.” WHOOOOSH! Suddenly, a white sword energy emanated from Cahaya’s sword. He had an atmosphere that suggested he would kill the healer in front of him if anyone dared to attack.
