(Pre-number Concepts) No. of Periods – 08 GIST of Lesson Teaching Learning Outcome (TLO) Teaching Learning Planned Activity Subject Competencies/Skills Suggested Activity for Evaluation/Assessment This lesson uses a fun poem and games to develop students' understanding of positional words (inside/outside, far/near, above/below/bottom/top etc.) Students learn about the positions of various colors, such as top- colored saffron, middle- colored white, and bottom-colored green, by examining our National Flag, known as Tiranga. Identifies the spatial relationship of the things. Reads the words used for the different position of things. Relative vocabulary development inside/outside, bottom/top, above/below. Talks about the animals that they see around them, like cats, dogs, cows etc. 1. Lead the students in a happy recitation of the poem "Finding the Furry Cat!" 2. Talk about the poem and use questions like "Where was the cat hiding?" to introduce the terms on, under, inside, outside, bottom, top, above, and below. 3. Play Game 1: Hide and Seek with Positional Words. 4. Play Game 2: Ball in the Basket. 5. Circle the words that correspond to the poem's illustrations. 6. Mark the words that match the images. Knowledge and Understanding: Understand the meaning of positional words. Ability to Compute: Not applicable for this lesson. Problem Solving Ability: Use positional words to solve the problem of finding hidden objects. Observe students' participation in the games.
