The aim is to search the employee pool outside of its own employees to fill the position. Examples: In universities, govt. job centers, newspapers etc. (b) One benefit of internal recruitment is that the worker does not require induction training. Since the employee already knows the strengths, weaknesses, style of management and culture of the organization he/she would be productive quickly. This is important specially in those situations where the organization needs a person in top level position where understanding of the entire organization is crucial the business success.

[2] (b) Explain one advantage to an employer of using a person specification. [3] Answer (a) A job description is detailed list of key points about the job to be filled. It has the all the relevant details about the job, from the job title to the tasks and responsibilities involved. (b) One key benefit of a person specification is that it helps in the recruitment and selection process by providing a clear and structured framework for evaluating candidates. It ensures that both the hiring team and potential candidates have a clear understanding of the qualifications and characteristics required for the job. This clarity can streamline the recruitment process and attract candidates who are a good fit for the role. This ensures that only the best workers are selected and issues like labor turnover and demotivation do not exist.
