Any copies made should be for personal use only and should not be shared. The following terms are left in pinyin in this translation: Gege/ge/dage: Lit. "older brother" but can refer to a biological older brother, a neighbour, a friend, a more-than-a-friend, the leader of your clique, any random stranger you want to be friendly with, any generic older guy, etc. Jiejie/jie/dajie: Lit. "older sister." Usage same as above but for females. Didi: Lit. "younger brother" but like "gege" and "jiejie," it can be used for non-family too. Xiao/zi/er: Diminutive used when referring to a younger person. E.g. Xiao-Qiao, Xiao-Wu'zi, Zao'er. Lao: Lit. "old." Commonly used between friends. E.g. Lao-Zheng. Xiaoshu: Lit. "little uncle," specifically refers to the speaker's father's younger brother. I'm keeping this in pinyin because it is used a lot in the story. Place names are also generally kept in pinyin out of personal preference. They don't have a strong bearing on the story. Food names are sometimes kept in pinyin and if there are no footnotes, it's something that can be easily googled. A note about the length: There are a total of 34 chapters in 52 parts and 3 extras. The chapters are generally pretty long. Assuming a standard chapter length is 4k characters, this story is comparable to a 100-chapter story. The length of the translation is 312k words. The chapter division is rather inconsistent, e.g. Chapter 1 (which is locked) is more than 12k characters long while Chapter 5 is only 4k. Many chapters are divided into 2 parts, e.g. Chapter 6 has two parts, one with 5k characters and another with 8k characters. You can look at the table of contents on the raws page to get an idea of the division.
One of the reasons for the inconsistent division could be because the story went through editing. The current Chapter 2 used to be Chapter 4, which means that the original Chapter 1 to Chapter 3 were combined into the currently locked Chapter 1. For some (but not all) of the shorter chapters, large chunks have been deleted due to NSFW content. This translation will be following the chapter division in the current version on Changpei while taking deleted/locked content from other sources. Stressing once more: SLOW PACE, SLOW BURN. Chapters are long, wordy and dense.
