LESSON PLAN Teacher’s name: Lê Trần Như Uyên + Huỳnh Thị Ngọc Giàu Course book: Prism 1 – Listening and Speaking Lesson: Festivals and Celebrations Class/ level: 12 years old/A2 - Pre Intermediate Level Description of class: ● English level: Pre-Intermediate ● Number of students: 12 ● Characteristics: Have background English knowledge, creative, quite active with some passive learners, prefer working in groups and willing to participate. Teaching period: 45 minutes I. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students should be able to: ● Apply learned vocabulary into practicing speaking conversation. ● Improve their speaking skills by verbally sharing various festivals and celebrations. ● Enhance soft skills: communication skills and teamwork skills by working in groups. ● Describe festivals and celebrations. II. RECENT WORK: ● Students have already learnt festival - related vocabulary in the previous class. ● Students are able to talk about some main characteristics of different festivals and celebrations all over the world.
