Example: The sky is blue. Compound Sentence - Contains two or more independent clauses connected by conjunctions (e.g., and, but, or). Example: I went to the store, and I bought some milk. Complex Sentence - Contains one independent clause and at least one dependent clause. Example: Although it was raining, I went to the store. Compound-Complex Sentence - A combination of a compound and a complex sentence. Example: I went to the store, and although it was raining, I bought some milk.
