41 - 45 Boy:Hey, I heard you went to Yosemite National Park last week! What was it like? Girl:It was incredible! We planned to stay for two days, but it was so interesting that we stayed for an extra three. Boy:Did you see the mountain – what’s it called? Girl:El Capitan. Yes, it’s huge! But before going there, we went to Yosemite Falls. Boy:Wow, that sounds amazing. Did you guys do any hiking? Girl:Yes, after Yosemite Falls, we hiked up to Vernal Falls. It’s a bit tough, especially the part called the Mist Trail, because you get wet from the waterfall’s spray. My brother loved it, though. He said it was like an adventure movie. You have to hike to the really good places. There are only paths, not roads. Boy:Cool! What else did you do there? Girl:Well, it sounds weird, but we spent a long time looking at the stars on the first night. Yosemite’s sky at night is spectacular. So many stars! We were camping deep in the park at the end of a long path. Boy:What else did you do? Girl:We joined a tour which was led by a ranger. He told us a lot about the park’s wildlife. Did you know Yosemite is home to more than 400 species of animals? Boy:No, I didn’t. That’s so interesting. Did you actually see much wildlife while you were there? Girl:We were lucky to spot some deer and a couple of squirrels, and lots of birds, of course, but no bears or wolves. My brother said he was disappointed, but the rest of us were pleased. My dad said it wasn’t good to disturb a bear or a wolf! Boy:That sounds like the trip of a lifetime. I’d love to go there someday. Girl:You definitely should. ---THE END---
