Lab Exercise Guide Bootcamp for Managing Security Device Lab Exercise Title: Introduction to Network Security Lab Duration: 4 hours Objective: The primary objective of this lab is to provide participants with hands-on experience in configuring and securing network devices, specifically routers and switches, within a simulated environment using Cisco Packet Tracer. Participants will learn to implement basic configurations on routers and switches, including IP addressing, VLAN creation, secure management access to network devices using SSH, and implementing access control lists (ACLs) to manage and restrict network traffic based on IP addresses. Furthermore, the lab emphasizes the importance of configuring access control measures that restrict access to network devices, ensuring that only authorized users can manage critical infrastructure. Ultimately, this lab seeks to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical skills, preparing participants for real-world networking scenarios and enhancing their ability to secure and manage enterprise networks effectively. Pre-Requisites: 1. Cisco Networking Academy account (https://www.netacad.com/) 2. Fundamental Networking knowledge Lab Setup: 1.
