Extra: Sugar Daddy (Part One: Love-struck fool’s POV) [Small talk] Topic: I really want to find someone to talk about the beautiful boy Mr. C in our school who was kept as a ‘mistress’. This topic is a bit overstated. It's not really being kept as a mistress, those who said that being kept as a mistress were all speculation and speculation by people with ulterior motives. There is no hard proof. LZ is really too lonely, especially when I came specially to London yesterday and met Mr. C and his legendary sugar daddy. LZ is a person with integrity. There is no one in the school I can speak to, the prehistorical power 1 in my heart is about to break through the sky, so I had to post and share!!! Let's introduce the situation first. LZ is studying in a school in an English village. There are many Chinese in the school. Mr. C is studying finance and is also a popular figure in the Chinese circle. If the circle of Chinese students in our school is divided into four factions, the first faction has the largest number of people. It is the Mr. C guard group, which surrounds Mr. C as his little sidekicks. The second faction is the Mr. C passerby's favourite faction, which is just like me, who don't know him well but have a good impression of him, because Mr. C is really cute. I’ll not upload the frontal shot photo. Attached is a picture of Mr. C's back view that I took to let everyone have a feel. 【Back photo.jpg】 There are not many people in the third faction, you can call them Mr. C anti faction, LZ feels that they are all jealous of Mr. C's beauty!!!! The fourth faction is the “Who is Mr. C" top student faction, shall not mention these people! Things have to start from the beginning of our admission. After admission, Chinese students will have to engage in socialising parties. The first time Mr. C came, everyone was shocked. No one has seen such a cute boy before! Everyone knows that in a socialising party, it is just to eat and sing. Mr. C knows how to rile up the atmosphere, looks cute as well and everyone has a good impression of him. But within a few days, rumours spread in the circle that Mr. C was provided for 2 . There was a boy who met Mr. C during registration, let’s just call him Mr. A, because he was the leader of the Anti faction. He said that Mr. C was accompanied by his financial backer when he was registering. Mr. C called his financial backer who looked less than 30, “Daddy”, and finally saw with his own eyes Mr. C sending his financial backer up a Phantom with a small wing logo 3 . Footnotes: 1. 洪荒之力 - Power of the great flood. 2. The original word is 包养 that was used throughout this chapter. It is used to refer to people being kept by sugar daddies or mummies. 3. Yup that’s a Rolls Royce's phantom.
Speaking of which, LZ would like to put in a word. Mr. A is really funny. He bought a second-hand Trident Ghibli (everyone knows it) at the end of last semester and thought that he was very awesome. Everyday, he changes his method to show off his key ring 4 in his circle of friends, because Mr. C usually dresses up like a student, and isn't particular about food and clothings. He often satirises Mr. C at parties while Mr. C is away, saying that he still wears Nike when sitting in the Phantom, and his financial backer must be bankrupt or something. In the end, this semester he drove his own Trident to pick up girls again. LZ and LZ's baby roommate were standing on the side of the road, and he greeted us very flirtatiously. Babe and I rolled our eyes wildly. Then a black Huayra drove over, and passers-by’s eyes followed it. To be able to see this kind of car in school is worth my whole lifetime. What's even more terrifying is that the Huayra stopped in front of the two of us, the car window came down and it's Mr. C!!! Mr. A’s face was green, after all, a Huayra can buy dozens of his second-hand Ghibli. Mr. C greeted us and asked where we were going!!! Whether we want to borrow his car to drive!!! LZ still said very modestly that she didn't need to. Her roommate was less reserved. She said that she didn't need to drive, but could she just take a few selfies in the car. Mr. C got out of the car with a smile and gave the driver seat to my roommate. Mr. C and LZ stood chatting together, LZ's heart was pounding and she didn't dare to look up. Mr. C was so white he was almost glowing, standing beside LZ like a slender fluorescent lamp. LZ asked him, is this car yours? It's so handsome 5 . Mr. C said yes, it’s a Christmas gift from my father. LZ said that your father is too good, do you still lack a daughter who is in the same school as you, just in freshman year. Mr. C bit his lip and smiled at LZ. LZ was about to faint 6 at that time. Mr. C looked so beautiful when he laughed, oh my god, if LZ had money, she would give him a Huayra too. I would give whatever there is, take them all!!!!!! No, why did I start to go all starry-eyed with Mr. C, LZ needs to calm down. Footnotes: 4. Actual word said key ring, but we all know it meant car keys. :) 5. The original word 帅 was used here. 6. The original word was 昏古七 which was a dialect, it actually sounds like 昏过去 which is the same meaning as fainted. Quite interesting.
Back to topic, where were we, oh, yesterday, my baby roommate and I had a date to go shopping in London. When we got on the train, Mr. C happened to be in the same carriage with us. We had class in the afternoon and left late. The car was very empty, so we sat together with Mr. C and chatted. This roommate, alas, I must say, is really too unreserved. When she came up, she asked Mr. C why he was going to London and where he would be staying at night. It's none of your business where people stay, he’s not staying with you anyway! Mr. C said that he would be staying at home and the roommate asked if he is staying with his father. Mr. C said that’s right. The roommate was very gossipy and said that Mr. A had seen your father, and he said that your father looked very young. Mr. C shrugged and said that he knew what A was saying behind his back. My roommate and I were silent for a while, and then Mr. C mischievously said that he didn't care, because his father was his sugar daddy, there was nothing to deny. The roommate exploded 7 , and she asked for details with a thick face, so Mr. C continued without elaborating. He was very funny. We talked all the way, and finally arrived in London very late. The unreliable roommate booked a hotel which was a little far away, and Mr. C said to send us there. Mr. C's father stood at the entrance waiting for him when he left the station. Neither my roommate nor I could react in time, because he was really handsome and young, and he would definitely not be more than 30 years old. Standing with Mr. C, they appeared to be a pair of same-sex couple who were pleasing to the eyes. Mr. C didn't call him father either. He called him by his full name. Let’s just call him Mr. L, and then said that there are two female classmates who have to be sent to the hotel. Mr. L took us to get the car. This time it's not a Phantom, it's Continental. The atmosphere between Mr. C and Mr. L is very normal. It's not like what he said about sugar daddy style. It’s probably just rich people being in love. It’s not something one can be envious of. When we got into the car, Mr. L asked us very gently where we were going. The charm of an adult man was also irresistible. My baby roommate and I told the name of the hotel. Along the way, Mr. L asked us how Mr. C was at school, whether did he find a girlfriend or something. Footnotes: 7. The original word is 炸了, meaning exploded (with big reaction). I’ll keep its literal meaning.
Mr. C will interject and say, Daddy, I'm very good at school. You don't have to ask my classmates by beating around the bush like this. Alas, to be honest, my baby roommate and I don't want to remember the atmosphere of dog abuse 8 for the rest of our lives. It would be good enough if we could remember sitting in a Continental and staring out the window on the streets of London in the middle of the night. When we arrived at the hotel, my roommate and I were about to climb out, so they all came out first. Mr. L got back into the car first, and Mr. C waved to us while holding onto the door of the car, and even asked when we would be leaving and if we needed to be picked up. Who wants to be abused again, even if sitting in a Continental?! My roommate and I both refused, so he smiled and said goodbye, see you at school. They waited for us to enter the hotel lobby before leaving. What a lovely person. After taking a look at the topic, it seems that it is completely off topic. Whatever it is, in short, this is a tree hole 9 . Let’s just post it up first before we talk! Footnotes: 8. In Chinese, there’s this saying “单身狗” referring to single people as “single dogs”. Therefore when couples are showing off their affections, they refer to this action as dog abuse. 9. 树洞 refers to a platform where people can post personal and secretive things online and wouldn’t get leaked. Translator’s notes: The original word used in this chapter to refer to Chen Xing was C君. It is actually according to the Japanese way of calling someone with the -kun suffix. However since it’s a Chinese novel, I think it wouldn’t be suitable to translate it as C-kun. Therefore I just use Mr. instead.
