Case presentation Miss X, a 24 year old female presented with complaints of palpitations on exertion and generalized body ache from past 4 months. She denied any history suggestive of cardiac or airway disease. On examination- mild pallor Hemoglobin – 9.8 peripheral smear- microcytic hypochromic Serum iron study – iron deficiency anemia Stool examination- normal
Continued She reported no improvement in her symptoms. She also complained of persistent pain in the wrist following trauma she sustained while playing volleyball 3 months ago, though no fracture was present in x-ray done that time. Hemoglobin – 9.2 LFT- raised ALP on both occasions. X- ray- showed osteopenia Serum vitamin D – 4.6ng/dl
