MOOC on Entrepreneurship Management MODULE 01 Entrepreneurship Building Academic Script An Entrepreneurship effort is the attempt, to create value through recognition of business opportunity, the management of risk-taking appropriate to the opportunity and through the communicative and management skills to mobilize human, financial and material resources necessary to bring a project to fruition. The Entrepreneur needs to be able to recognize business opportunity and this is the first and foremost thing that an entrepreneur needs to have which the rest of the organization may not be able to do as much as he is expected to, he would be the person responsible for recognizing business opportunities wherever and whenever they arise in the environment surrounding the organization. After the recognition of business opportunity, he would evaluate those opportunities and look into the merits and demerits of each of the possibilities that can emerge from an opportunity. An entrepreneur is an individual who creates a new business, bearing most of the risks and enjoying most of the rewards. The entrepreneur is commonly seen as an innovator, a source of new ideas, goods, services, and business/or procedures.
