Present feedback from the recount You may also choose to present a model essay. General feedback examples  Paragraphs- what they are and how they are used.  Word choice- highlight the use of a thesaurus. Remind students that if they did not submit their work today, it cannot be marked. To get the most out of the writing programme, students should always hand in their work on time. Focus: This week’s vocabulary sheet Ask the children what Nationality they are. Discuss what Nationality means. (Nationality means belonging to a particular nation by having been born there or by becoming a citizen.) Go through different countries with the class and what nationality they would be. For example, If I am from Poland what nationality am I? Polish. Instruct students to complete this worksheet in class or after class, depending on whether it can be accommodated into the class schedule. Focus: Quick Writes Set a timer for 40 seconds (recommended) or choose a time you wish to spend on each Quick Write activity. Time should not exceed 2 minutes per topic. Ask students to write as much as they can about the topics. Today’s quick writes  Quick Write (1): You wake up on a mysterious island. What does it look like and what do you do there?  Quick Write (2): If you could travel anywhere just to try the food, where would you go and what would you eat?  Quick Write (3): If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? Why did you choose to go to that country?
Classwork Describe these pictures with adjectives. Write some of the class suggestions on the board/ screen.
