Explain different models of government in detail? 1. INTRODUCTION: A government is like a team that runs a place, usually a country. It has three parts the legislature, the executive, who make things happen, and the judiciary. The government makes sure rules are followed and decides on new rules. Every government has its own set of important rules called a constitution that guides how it works.
2. MEANING: “Government is like a rule-making team that takes care of a country. It makes laws, keeps things in order, and helps people with services. It also makes sure everyone's rights are protected and decides how things should be done in the country.” 3. DEFINITION: “A government is the system to govern a state or community.” 4. THE FORMS OR THE MODELS OF GOVERNMENT: • Democracy: Democracy comes from Greek words meaning 'people' and 'government rule.' It's a system where people choose leaders through elections, giving power to the people. In a parliamentary democracy, elected representatives gather in parliament to make laws. There are different types of democracies, but they all let people choose leaders and have a say in decisions through fair elections. • Monarchy: A monarchy is a type of government led by one person who got the position because they're part of a royal family. In the past, these rulers had lots of power and made all the rules. This was called "absolute monarchy." Nowadays, most monarchs mostly do symbolic things and don't have much say in running the country. A constitutional monarchy is when a country has a written plan (constitution) that says how the country will work and what people can do. The ruler is still a king or queen, but they follow the rules in the constitution and don't have much real power. • Republic: A republic is a country where the leader, known as the president, is picked through elections. The president can also be in charge of

To remain in power, dictators must continue to use force or threats and supress the peoples’ freedom. • Communism: In this system, all the land, factories, and businesses are owned collectively by the community, not by individuals. For instance, a farm isn't owned by a single farmer but is worked on and owned by the entire community. The government in this country decides what products should be made and how much of each should be produced. So, if the government decides that more wheat and less rice should be grown, farmers across the country would adjust their crops accordingly. The main goal of this system is to ensure that everyone has access to basic needs like food, housing, and healthcare. The focus is on reducing the gap between rich and poor. So, even though personal choices are restricted, the aim is to create a more equal society where everyone's necessities are met. • Oligarchy: An oligarchy is a form of government in which only a few wealthy people hold power. A republic may be an oligarchy if just a few people have the right to vote. In most oligarchies, the power of the leadership is supported by the wealthy and the military. • Anarchy: The word anarchy comes from the ancient Greek meaning ‘absence of leader’, or without rulers. In an anarchical society there is a state of lawlessness or political disorder because there is no governmental authority. 5. CONCLUSION: In the world, governments come in different types.
