World Trade Organization  The World Trade Organization (WTO) is the only global international organization dealing with the rules of trade between nations.  The WTO's global system lowers trade barriers through negotiation and operates under the principle of non-discrimination.

WTO with the Wider Scope  In addition to the liberalization of world trade through GATT in the elimination or reduction of tariffs and other barriers to merchandise trade WTO has covered the following areas of the economic/business operation:  Agreement on Agriculture  Agreement on Textiles and Clothing  Special and Differential Treatment for Developing and LDCs  Aid for Trade
