i ACKNOWLEDGEMENT Pursuing a master's degree has been one of the most challenging but fulfilling journeys of my life. While there were times when I found it quite difficult to complete this journey and felt lost and struggling, it is undeniable that those moments provided me with an incredible opportunity for personal growth. I realized that during such hard times, I received a lot of support in completing this thesis. First and foremost, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to my supervisor: Dr. Ngo Huynh Hong Nga. The year I spent under her guidance has been a valuable opportunity for my personal and professional development. Her prompt advice, insightful feedback, and encouraging support have had a significant influence on me. My sincere thanks also go to all my lecturers at Can Tho University for their dedicated guidance. I deeply appreciate their commitment, invaluable lessons, and shared experiences, as well as the crucial direction they provided throughout my master's journey. I would also like to express my heartfelt thanks to the eight teachers who took part in my study despite their demanding schedules. I truly appreciate their willingness to dedicate time to my interviews and observations. Their support was crucial to the completion of this thesis. I am also deeply grateful to the executives and colleagues at the private language center which served as my research site for creating the most favorable conditions for my research. I also owe my deepest gratitude to my parents and siblings for their unwavering love, trust, and support. Without my parents' dedication and sacrifice for my education, reaching this master's level would have been impossible. I also sincerely thank my cousin, Tom Le, for his willing guidance, and my special people (Ms. Nguyen Thi Tu Quyen, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mong Tuyen, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Phuc, Ms. Vuong Nhu Hao, Mr. Huynh Ha Thu, and someone I know well) for their meaningful encouragement when I needed it most. Additionally, I am thankful to my close friends (Pham Nhu Ai, Nguyen Tran Hoa Thien, and Truong Hong Hanh) for providing me with a sense of belonging when I felt lost. Last but not least, I would like to thank myself for my perseverance and determination in the face of challenges. I am grateful for my diligent effort and sense of responsibility in completing this master’s journey.
