BÀI 15 CÂU HỎI ĐUÔI (TAG QUESTIONS) A. ĐỊNH NGHĨA: o Câu hỏi đuôi là một câu hỏi ngắn theo sau một mệnh đề. Chúng được ngăn cách với nhau bởi một dấu phẩy (,). o Nếu mệnh đề ở thể khẳng định thì câu hỏi đuôi ở thể phủ định và ngược lại. Công thức chung: ★ Mệnh đề khẳng định, câu hỏi đuôi phủ định: S + V + O, don’t + S? S + to be + O, to be + not + S? ★ Mệnh đề phủ định, câu hỏi đuôi khẳng định: S + don’t + V + O, do + S? S + to be + not + O, to be + S? o Khi trả lời một câu hỏi đuôi, ta thường dùng Yes/No và trả lời theo sự thật của tình huống. Ví dụ: You’re not going to school today, are you? Ở mệnh để tường thuật nếu có những trạng từ sau: neither (không ai trong hai người/vật), none (không ai trong ba người vật trở lên), no one, nobody, scarcely (hiếm khi), barely, (ever) (hiếm khi), seldom (hiếm khi), nothing, never, hardly (hiếm khi), ta coi như câu phủ định và dùng đuôi hỏi khẳng định. Ví dụ: Neither of them failed the exam, did they? Nothing was said, was it? Tom hardly ever goes to parties, does he? 3. Đại từ nhân xưng đuôi cho this/that = IT, cho these/those =THEY. This/that is your bag, isn’t it? These/those are yours, aren’t they? 4. Những câu có cấu tạo There + be thì THERE được sử dụng làm đại từ nhân xưng đuôi. There is a meeting tonight, isn't there? 5. Chủ ngữ của mệnh để tường thuật là everything, something, anything, nothing thì đại từ nhân xưng đuôi là IT Everything is ready, isn't it? Something has happened, hasn’t it? 6. Chủ ngữ là everyone, everybody, someone, somebody, anyone, anybody, no one, nobody thì ta dùng
