INJURY – 1 MEDICOLEGAL CONSIDERATION AND TYPES INJURIES DUE TO HARD AND BLUNT OBJECT At the end of the class, the students will be able to – Define wound, trauma, injury etc. Describe mechanism of production of mechanical injuries. Classify the mechanical injuries. Differentiate between ante mortem and postmortem injuries. Opine about simple, grievous and dangerous injuries. Collect important trace evidence. Prepare the injury report. Describe abrasion, contusion and laceration and its medico legal importance.
MEDICOLEGAL CONSIDERATION & TYPES: WOUND : Solution of the natural continuity of any of the tissues of the living body. TRAUMA : It is an insult to the living tissues or Emotional or Mental stress.
