EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The mission of The Gaudium is to transform our students into world class citizens and enable them to make a difference to themselves and the world by inculcating our core values Value-creating education is essentially the capacity to find meaning, to enhance one's own existence and contribute to the well-being of others, under any circumstances. We seek to hold ourselves and each member of our school community accountable for demonstrating them every day. The 5 core values that guide every member of The Gaudium are: RESPECT: A culture that is built on self-respect and for relationships. People are engaged and respected. EMPATHY: It is what enables us to relate to other people and their experiences and helps us to understand them. Thus, making us compassionate. INTEGRITY: Act with integrity and honesty, with a strong sense of fairness and justice, and with respect for the dignity and rights of people everywhere. We take responsibility for our actions and their consequences. PERSEVERANCE: Ability and self-control that encourages students to work through challenges. Willing to face a challenge, we use our mind and our body to overcome it. GRATITUDE: Gratitude helps us feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationships. The code of conduct policy is the set of programmes, practices and procedures that together form the school’s plan for helping students in the school to behave well and learn well. The code of conduct enables school authorities to strike an appropriate balance between their duty to maintain an effective learning environment for all.
