Dear member, We are writing to tell you that the talk and slide show on The Gardens of Japan by Mr.Seiko has been canceled because the speaker has been taken ill. Mr.Jones has kindly agreed to give his talk on The Gardens of England again. I know that many of you have already heard Mr. Jones before but I hope you will be happy to hear him once again. 1. Write an email to your friend. Write about 50 words. Hi Thao, How are things with you? I hope everything goes well with you. Have you heard the notice from the garden club about the absence of Mr.Seiko, who will give us the presentation about The Gardens of Japan? I cannot tell you how disappointed I am about this bad news because I have been looking forward to it for months. However, the club will invite Mr.Jones in order to give some information about The Gardens of England one more time. I believe the head of the club should hold an urgent meeting to discuss the problem more deeply. How about you? What do you think? Tell me if you have any suggestions. Don’t forget to drop me a line soon! All the best, Thanh. 2. Write an email to the manager of the club. Write about 120 - 150 words. Dear Ms.Anna,
My name is Pham Thi Thanh and I have been a member of the club since 2020. I am writing this email to express my deepest disappointment and my suggestions regarding the upcoming event of the club. According to the email that I have received, the club is going to organize a sharing workshop regarding The Gardens of Japan of Mr.Seiko; however, the workshop has been canceled because the speaker has been taken ill. Fortunately, Mr.John agreed to give his talk on The Gardens of England again. I cannot tell you how disappointed I am about this bad news because I would like to know more about The Garden of Japan. From my perspective, I strongly recommend that you inquire with Mr.John in order to change the content of the workshop, such as the gardening culture of English. The main reason I feel this way is that many of members have already heard Mr. Jones before. In case it is impossible, I would be grateful if you could persuade Mr. Seiko to reschedule the talk show when he is getting better; moreover, I would appreciate it if you could set up a picnic for all members as a compensation. Hopefully, my suggestions would be helpful to you. I am looking forward to receiving your response as soon as possible. Best regards, Pham Thi Thanh.
