Page 4 24 June 2025 Strategy 1: JJ Clusters within 5 km radius of newly constructed/ available vacant EWS flats Strategies for In-Situ rehabilitation of JJ Clusters on DUSIB land Eligible Jhuggi dwellers from JJ Clusters on commercial land falling within 5 km radius will be given priority for shifting to available flats Once the land parcels are vacated after shifting of jhuggis, assessment of these vacated land parcels will be carried out. Assessment of land parcels: Tenability (ownership, land use, locality), land value for monetization, existing DCR norms will be examined. Feasibility for undertaking best use of land will be carried out after consultation with urban experts. Accordingly, new flats on vacated land parcels (land with less commercial value) will be developed for rehabilitating other JJ Clusters falling within its 5 km radius This strategy may also be exercised for JJ clusters which are not falling within 5 km radius but falls within 10km if no other option for in-situ rehabilitation would be available, on recommendation of HPC or request from Land Owning Agency or any court order
