2 Inaugural tea and snacks for delegates: Rs 100 per person. The inauguration is expected to be attended by the delegates, the organizing team,invited speakers, and about twenty other invitees. Lunch: Rs 200 per plate. Afternoon tea: Ps 50 per person. Breakfast: Rs 100 per person. Dinner: Rs 250 per person. Rental charge for the conference hall (including audio visual) Rs. 10000 per day. Accommodation charges are Rs 1500 per night; it is estimated that all delegates will arrive in the morning on the inaugural day, and leave by 7.00 P.M on the second day. Hence a delegate needs accommodation for only one night. Conference kit: Rs 500 per kit Breakfast, lunch and tea are to be provided on both days, whereas dinner is to be provided only on the first day. They are to be provided for all delegates, organizers, and invited speakers. For the dinner there will be some guests additionally, and their number is expected to be around fifteen. Similarly, the additional guests for inaugural function are expected to be twenty in number, and they will be invited for the tea following the inaugural function. The invited speakers are to be provided accommodation and are to be picked up and dropped back at the airport. In addition they are to be given return airfare which is estimated to be Rs ten thousand for each speaker. Each speaker is also given an honorarium of Rs 4000. The charges for local transport for pickup or drop are estimated to be Rs 200 each way. The conference kits are to be given to all delegates, organizers and invited speakers. Additional for administrative expenses like telephone, courier and clerical work, a sum of Rs 40,000 is to be set apart. Questions: If the entire expenditure of the conference is to be met by the registration fee alone, then what should be the registration fee per participant? To answer the above question, experiment with various possible values of parameters like number of delegates and sponsorship amount. Problem 3- Sales Commission at XYZ Corp The sales commission rate for a salesman at XYZ corporation depends on two factors, his year of service and amount of sales generated. The workbook has two tables giving sales commission, one for less than 3-year tenure and another giving three or more than three-year tenure. Provide a formula for cell D2 (to be copied through D3:D12) to compute the sales commission for various salesmens.

There are four different types of products viz P1, P2, P3, and P4. If the quantity of purchase is greater than or equal to a certain threshold value then a certain percentage of discount is given by the supplier. For each product type the unit price, the threshold quantity for discount, and the percentage discount are given in Table 1 while the details of products purchased in last ten purchase orders are given in Table 2. Compute the total amount due to be paid on each purchase order.
