Nội dung text STALKER 2014 - Lore and Setting Information
2 widely known information about C-Consciousness, and they are still actively in control of the Zone to this day. Your character must not be played with any knowledge about Project X or C-Consciousness that was not learned in-game, in-character. Timeline 2012 May 24th: After battling through the Barrier with the help of Freedom, the stalker known only as the Marked One enters the Red Forest and fights his way into the secret underground laboratory X-10. The near-mythical invisible wall guarding the Northern reaches of the Zone, the Brain Scorcher, is turned off shortly after. Suddenly, stalkers of all kinds flood North - from lowlife criminals to heavily armed Spetsnaz shock units. As soon as word escapes that the Brain Scorcher is gone, the military launches Operation: Monolith, sending almost all Military forces inside the Zone toward its centerin a desperate effort to seize control of the Nuclear Power Plant from Monolith fighters. May 25th: The events of Shadow of Chernobyl conclude. The Marked One is rumored to have reached the Center of the Zone. Like all who came before him, he disappears completely. The secret truth of the matter is that Strelok did indeed find the C-Consciousness in laboratory X-7, and made the final decision to join them in their mission. After entering the First Pod, he would never be seen again. A superemission is sparked from the center of the Zone and completely eradicates almost every single soldier involved in Operation: Monolith, now considered to be an absolute failure. After this, the Emissions in the Zone became far more powerful, fast, and frequent, now often simply killing their victims outright rather than simply leaving them zombified to wander. June-July: Stalkers flood North in what’s considered the Zone’s Gold Rush, finding new types of anomalies and artifacts, establishing new safehouses such as Yanov Station and the Skadovsk, and mapping out the Northern reaches of the Zone for those who would come later. They do so mostly unchecked, but with a growing frequency of Monolith attacks carried out across the regions.
