The Network Developed in collaboration with hundreds of field partners, Becoming America’s story system and network weaving strategy centers the innovation and lived experience of Black, Indigenous, People of Color, immigrant, and Muslim creators and strategists, especially women, trans, nonbinary, queer, disabled leaders, and their allies. Together, network members create content inspired by a shared narrative that leaves exclusion and fear behind, instead embracing joy, hope, care, justice, and solidarity as the building blocks of a pluralist society in which everyone belongs. The Distribution Engine The network’s content moves into the narrative waters with the support of The Abundance League, a team of entertainment industry experts, advisors and coaches that fuels the distribution power of the Becoming America Network. Spanning a range of capabilities, including digital marketing, public relations and communications, media production, book launches, influencer content engines, and film and TV impact campaigns, the Abundance League trains, advises, and collaborates with Becoming America network members to immerse millions of Americans in a galvanizing story of the America we are capable of becoming. The Coordinated Strategies The Becoming America Network is organized into interconnected narrative strategies that enable storytellers, thought leaders and cultural organizers to consistently work together to illuminate meaning across mass audiences. Together, they bring pluralist values to life through moments that move hearts, spark conversation, and shift public imagination. These narrative strategies simultaneously organize at the local and national level, enabling the network to shape meaning in “big sky” narrative moments while also supporting a pipeline of content creators who are consistently spreading transformative ideas across audiences, fandoms, and digital communities. “Big Sky” moments occur when a majority of Americans are paying attention to the same peak cultural moment.
