(please also refer to page 122 in text book). To solve this question, we must choose the appropriate measurement for each example. For instance, we wouldn’t measure an oval using centimetres or measure the capacity of a saucepan using metres! Practice Questions Take extra care when ordering these distances from smallest to largest. Always look at the unit of measurement as the quantity of the number may be bigger but not necessarily the largest number because of the unit of measurement. For example: 200 mm is smaller than 22 cm!

Always begin from the 0 when using a ruler. Question 2 If an alien weighs 125 grams, which scale correctly shows the mass of the 6 aliens, (6x125grams =?) All scales are the same.
