Overall, the central area remained unchanged amid the various dramatic changes that took place in the surrounding regions. The most important changes include the addition of new pedestrian zones, the disappearance of individual houses, and the construction of apartment blocks to accommodate the town's growing population. The northwest part of the town saw a number of significant changes, such as the replacement of the line of shops including the news agency, grocery, bakery, butcher's and the coffee shop by a shopping complex. However, the childcare centre located directly to the right of the current shopping centre remained unchanged, as did the bank in the northeast corner of the map. Smith Street, opposite the childcare centre, has been developed into a pedestrian precinct, completely prohibiting the passage of vehicles. On the other side of Smith Street, the park, library, and townhouse remained unaltered over the period. Towards the east and south of the town hall, pedestrian crossings were established. Towards the east and south of the town hall, pedestrian crossings were established. On Oldford Street (to the right of the town hall), the crossing now leads to a cafe, which originally served as a bank in 1990. On Green Street, the crossing leads to the housing area. The residential area used to comprise a row of terraced houses in the south of the town and a single house in the southeast of the town, which were later developed into residential buildings.
