PURPOSE STATEMENT To make the students aware about the Autopsy & its types, objectives, rules & regulations and Techniques to conduct the Post mortem examination , viscera preservation , Postmortem artefacts and to write the Post mortem report in an appropriate format.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES At the end of the class, the students shall be able to – Define ‘Autopsy’ and describe its relevance in unnatural deaths. Describe the aim & objectives of medico legal autopsy. Describe the rules & regulations framed by the statutory bodies to conduct the medico legal autopsy. Describe the techniques to conduct the Postmortem examination. Describe the Viscera preservation and PM Artefacts Write the postmortem report in the appropriate proforma.
