Spelling test words for next week (page 2 of the 4018b homework booklet): thermometer diameter seismometer speedometer barometer mechanic mechanize (Aus. spelling: mechanise) pathetic sympathy pathology Part 1: – Greek origins The teacher will need to go through the meanings of the words on page 2 of the Homework booklet. This can be done orally and via PowerPoint slides. The visual representations will help students grasp the vocabulary and aid with memory retention. The teacher will also need to explain the three different Vocabulary tasks (pages 2 & 3) that need to be completed for homework.
